Slow, simple yin yoga is the class to choose if you want to calm the mind and stretch the body.
Yin is a form of yoga that stretches the connective tissue in the key areas of the pelvis hips and spine, gently opening your body to improve your flexibility.
It allows you to just 'be' in the pose, finding stillness and deep relaxation.
In this workshop we will explore the basics of Yin Yoga practice. Instead of getting ourselves into the most pretzel like asanas the Yin challenge is the duration over which poses are held - three to five minutes! The time spent in these postures is much like meditation.
Be prepared to discover deep feelings, sensations and emotions. We don't use the body to get into a pose, we use a pose to get into the body!
