Benefits of exercising in later life
Exercise classes for the older person are extremely popular. Fun, relaxed and sociable, this Pilates class is a more relaxed pace than the typical Pilates session.
Joint mobility, back care and muscle toning are emphasised. Exercises to increase flexibility and range of motion as well as to reduce tension in the body are encouraged. Specific areas of the body, which can deteriorate with the ageing process, such as the hip and shoulder joints, are targeted in the effort to try and avoid problems later in life.
Exercise gives you the freedom and independence to enjoy life in the latter years.
Our Over Sixties group takes place on Wednesday mornings at 10am and our Stretch, Relax and Mobility class is on Tuesday mornings at 9am at our Sunderland venue.

Single Session Credit - We recommend this option for first time users. Although it is a slightly more expensive option, you don't have to commit yourself to purchasing a whole course of lessons. The advantage is that this option allows you to try out your chosen class to see if you like it or not. The disadvantage is that it is more expensive and you only get 7 days to use your lesson from the date of purchase. This means that you have to wait until the last minute to book your chosen class, which may mean that it is already fully booked if it is a popular class.
Six Session Credits - We recommend this option for regular clients who have already tried out our different classes. You get 8 weeks to use up your 6 credits. You can use your 6 credits for any class on any day or time, with any instructor and for all of the different movement methods. The advantage of this option is that it is cheaper than a single session but you are able to book up for your chosen class up to 8 weeks in advance. This means that you are likely to be guaranteed your place on your chosen class if a particular class is very popular.
Twelve Session Credits - We recommend this option for regular clients who have already tried out our different classes. This option is designed for students who wish to attend classes at least twice a week. Effectively, you get your second class at half price. However, you only get 8 weeks to use up your 12 credits. This means that the system forces you to come to at least two sessions a week. You can use your 12 credits for any class on any day or time, with any instructor and for all of the different movement methods. The system allows you to book up for your chosen classes up to 8 weeks in advance. This means that you are likely to be guaranteed your place on your chosen class if a particular class is very popular.
