In order to achieve a pass in this course, all 3 assessments must be successfully submitted –

Assessment One – Reformer Theory Quiz (80% pass on Unit 13)

Assessment Two – Progressive Programme Design containing 3 lesson plans (week 1, week 5 and week 10). The information on lesson planning is contained in unit 14.

Please email [emailprotected] for a template to use for your lesson plans.

You must then design your 3 lesson plans using the required template and email the completed plans to [emailprotected]

Assessment Three – Practical one hour exam. You must submit a video of you teaching a healthy adult. You must teach from your week 10 lesson plan, since this plan must contain at least one exercise from each of the series covered on the course.

Ideally, you can use an iPad to film your exam video. Place the iPad on a surface where you, your client and the Reformer are in full view for the entire video. It is suggested to film for a few minutes and then check your video to see that the angle is correct and that your voice is sufficiently audible. If everything seems fine, go ahead and video your full lesson.

Upon completions of your video, you can upload this onto any internet application that allows you to send large files (such as Dropbox, Google Drive or You Send It for example). You must not upload to You Tube or any publicly viewable social media. You may also put your video onto a CD or USB stick and send via the post.

Please note that there is a £45 cost for your assessment. This covers your assessors time to watch your video and give you feedback. This also covers the cost of your certificate.

Upon successful completion of all 3 assessments, you will receive 16 REPS CPD points (if you are a member) along with the Pilates Union certificate of competency to teach Pilates Reformer.
