Ninety minute induction session for new students
These quarterly workshops at our Sunderland studio consist of a 30 minute introduction into some of the basic ballet and fitness movements that can be performed at the barre. We break down each of the key movements in a typical barre class so you gain an understanding of the alignment and stability required. Once you have been taught the technique for each exercise, you will have a chance to practice some of the movements before embarking upon the beginners workout that will follow.
When the basics have been taught, you will then participate in a BarreConcept full body one hour workout class. This will include the Warm Up, Barre Section, Floor Conditioning Section and final Cool Down Stretch Section.
The taster workshop will give you the tools to understand how to perform exercises at the barre correctly and safely and with proper technique so that you get the most from your workout.

These one off introductory taster workshops will teach you the fundamental technique that is required to join a group class
You will learn some basic yoga asanas (postures) on this two hour workshop, along with breathing and relaxation techniques
Learn the different types of meditation in order to find the right path for you. A variety of mindfulness techniques are also taught.
Staying in is the new going out! Combine your two favourite things in one fun session and meet like-minded people while you chillout!
This two hour workshop will introduce you to the basic practice of Kundalini yoga with some basic krias (actions/ moves), meditation and chanting
This 90 minute session will introduce you to some of the basic movements performed at the barre, followed by a one hour taster class.
